Ice baths have long been known to be a game changer when it comes to post-workout recovery. Sometimes know as cold water immersion, a bracing plunge for around 10 or 15 minutes is now also known to have a host of other benefits that promote your wellbeing. So, aside from muscle recovery, aiding the repair of physical microtrauma and preventing soreness, ice baths can help to boost your mental health, reduce stress, improve your sleep, and develop your immune system. They’re probably not for everyone but you might find that an ice bath is the perfect way to chill at Camp Bestival.
