Space Camp
Rocket launch into a Space Oddity here at Camp Bestival! New for 2024, we will be bringing you Space Camp! A very exciting new venue that is packed full of Immersive experiences, workshops, performances, and demonstrations all Space and Science themed. Kids and big kids alike are going to love it. If you have been into our Science Tent before, know that this is going to be even bigger, better. Everything here is completely free of charge and does not require booking. However do keep an eye on any workshop timings at the festival so you don’t miss out on your favourite Space poetry workshop or alien slime activity! Space Camp will be open Friday through to Sunday.
Wonder in awe at the stars above you as you enter into our own mini Planetarium where you can hear all about the solar system. Try on some VR goggles and feel like you’re on the moon, taste some real-life space food or get dressed into one of our space person costumes. There is lots to do for children of all ages. There will be a drop-in craft table where you can make your own sundial or alien slime, along with meteorite handling and space worksheets to complete.
We are very excited to have Noisy Toys inside our space camp, with their world of musical oddity and musical installations.
STEAM Co will also be joining us to teach you how to make your own mini rocket!
In addition to all of this, there will be a program of science and space shows, talks and performances on the stage.
