Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer.

Through sailing and outdoor adventure, young people have fun, gain a new sense of purpose and self-worth, rediscover independence, and feel optimism for the future.

Every year in the UK, around 1,800 children (0-14) and 2,400 young people (15-24) are diagnosed with cancer – that’s around 11 a day (CRUK, 2022). Happily, survival rates are increasing.

But young people remain vulnerable after treatment as it comes at a time of rapid physical, emotional, and social development, and for many, simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible.

That is why when treatment ends, the Trust’s work begins.

Young people realise what they are capable of again – physically, mentally, and socially – and stop feeling like ‘the only one’. They start to re-establish their place in the world and can believe in a brighter future.

From supporting five young people in 2003 to around 700 in 2023, you can make a life-changing difference to young people by donating today: www.ellenmacarthurcancertrust.org/donate/

Frank Water

Frank Water can’t wait to return to Camp Bestival Dorset for the sixth year running! They will serve chilled, filtered still water all weekend to keep thirsty festivalgoers hydrated and in high festival spirits!

Bring your own bottle or buy a branded Frank Water/Klean Kanteen bottle or a wristband for unlimited refills all weekend.  Frank Water also have Refill Plus – so you can upgrade your purchase for sparkling water or try one of their new botanical cordials in refreshing elderflower or cucumber and mint!

All profits help the charity to build a water-secure future for people and the planet, by ensuring sustainable, safe water sources, better sanitation, and good hygiene for those most affected by the impact of climate change, while simultaneously reducing single-use plastics.

Keep an eye out for their two refill kiosks or roaming ‘Frank Tank’. Refill with Frank Water and help fund more of this life-changing work. Find out more about Frank Water and their work at www.frankwater.com.

WaterAid's Good Loos

WaterAid can’t wait to be at Camp Bestival this year with their Good Loos. Their environmentally friendly composting toilets are the perfect place to visit a lovely loo, with a dedicated volunteer team making sure the Good Loos live up to their name and are kept clean. Plus, this year WaterAid’s Good Loos are partnering with Peequal, to provide female urinals and a new accessible unit, too. Your visits and donations will help WaterAid to build toilets around the world – what a combo. They can’t wait to see you at the Good Loos this summer.

This year, as well as visiting the Good Loos, WaterAid would love you to join their Climate Fight. For the 771 million people in the world right now who don’t have access to clean water, staying healthy and supporting your family is even harder than ever. As the climate becomes more unpredictable, WaterAid are working even harder to make sure people have water they can rely on. While we can’t eradicate climate change, WaterAid can make sure everyone, everywhere has the water they need, whatever the weather.

This year, visit them at the Good Loos and ask their volunteers how you can get involved in demanding world leaders invest in clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene that can help people build a resilient future.
